A kickoff for the new Anne Silver Scholarship fund was held Sunday February 18, 2007 at the James Gray Gallery at Bergamot Station in Santa Monica. Anne's poetry was read by her good friends Suzanne Lummis, Lee Rossi, and Cecelia Woloch. Alice Pero, the co-creator, with Anne, of Moonday, also read, and played a beautiful flute solo.

Anne's hitherto little-known talent as a photographer and potter were also displayed and widely appreciated. There was a lovely and lively crowd, and a goodly sum of money was raised for the Fund, which will endow students of the summer poetry program at Idyllwild Arts Foundation, Anne's home away from home.

Efforts are going strong for a new book of Anne's poetry to be published later this year. We are also considering sale of Anne's photography on this web site, so keep an eye out. Our thanks to all who made this event a rousing success.
